WLTP range is measured in a lab; on the motorway and in winter expect noticeably less. "Usable" is the battery you can actually use; "gross" includes a buffer the car keeps back. The tools use the WLTP efficiency when you pick this car; put in your own figure from the trip computer for a closer answer.

Where these figures come from

Third-generation LEAF (ZE2), built in Sunderland. Battery: the Nov 2025 press table lists 52 kWh and 75 kWh as usable capacity, with the 75 kWh figure 'estimated, subject to homologation'. No gross figure is given. Range: the configurator and July 2026 release say up to 280 miles (52 kWh) and 387 miles (75 kWh); the Nov 2025 release said 'more than 271' and 'up to 386'. 0-62 mph uses the configurator figures (8.3 s and 7.6 s); the press table gives 8.35 s (8.26 s in Sport) for the 52 kWh car and 7.8 s (7.6 s in Sport) for the 75 kWh car. The configurator lists the drivetrain as '2WD'; the new LEAF is front-motor, front-wheel drive. The 52 kWh car comes in Engage and Advance trims; the 75 kWh car in Engage, Engage+, Advance and Evolve.
