BMW adds $500 charging package for eligible 2027 EVs in the US
The offer splits credit between BMW ChargingNetwork and IONNA, with a complimentary year of discounted IONNA charging.

Buyers and lessees of eligible 2027 BMW i5, i7 and iX3 models in the United States can now receive $500 in public charging credit. BMW launched the package on 5 November, combining a multi-network allowance with a separate IONNA benefit.
The first $300 can be used through BMW ChargingNetwork at participating providers. Another $200 is reserved for IONNA sessions. Customers also receive a complimentary one-year BMW Membership at IONNA, offering a 25% charging discount during that period.
Drivers enrol through the My BMW app’s Charging Wallet, where the credits appear and are automatically applied to eligible sessions. Account activation and a valid payment method are required. A $50 card pre-authorisation may apply to a session even when charging with credits.
The benefits expire one year after the applicable retail or in-service date, rather than a year after the driver decides to activate them. Eligible customers who bought or leased before the programme launched may also qualify, but could have less than a full year remaining.
Once the credit runs out, charging is billed to the payment method on file. Keeping the 25% IONNA discount after the complimentary membership term requires a paid subscription.
