Hyundai Ioniq 5 US sales rise 21% in October, but remain down for the year
Hyundai sold 1,981 Ioniq 5s in October. Ten-month sales reached 33,093, still 23% below the same period in 2025.

Hyundai sold 1,981 Ioniq 5s in the United States in October, up 21% from 1,642 a year earlier. The increase offers a better monthly result for the electric SUV, although its sales for the year remain well below 2025.
Figures released by Hyundai Motor America on 3 November put January-to-October Ioniq 5 sales at 33,093, compared with 42,733 over the same period last year. That leaves a 23% shortfall despite October’s improvement.
The larger Ioniq 9 had the opposite pattern: its October sales fell 47% to 169, while its ten-month total rose 49% to 6,690. Hyundai reported no Ioniq 6 sales during October, against 398 in the same month last year. The figures show how uneven the performance remains across the company’s electric range.
Across all powertrains, Hyundai recorded its strongest US October to date, selling 73,452 vehicles, up 5%. Hybrids accounted for 29% of the monthly total. That company-wide record includes combustion-engined and hybrid vehicles as well as EVs; the Ioniq figures give a more specific picture of its battery-electric business.
